Mine hit the dealership last Friday night, but I was out of town for the weekend and couldn’t pick it up until Monday. While waiting on it I noticed my back brakes needed serviced (I thought it was just pads and rotors) so I put it off as I knew the new one was coming even though delivery kept getting punched back. Long story short I got back from the weekend trip and noticed a puddle of brake fluid in the garage from one of the calibers. Towed it to the dealer for the trade. Don’t feel bad about doing the maintenance, I got lucky and it could have went worse. Kicking myself for not really checking them out the last few weeks. They were stopping fine though and just had the brake squeal so assumed it wasn’t a big deal.

So I assume they knocked down your trade value quite a bit?

Actually not to bad, basically just their cost, not retail to fix it which seemed fair to me.

I went ahead and bought the amber lights for my grille since mine is expected to be at the Dealership on Monday. I am trading in my 2016 4runner Trail with 69,000 miles on it. I was given 32k for it. The paperwork on my new 22 TRD Pro is $54,342.00 I added the upgrades floor mats, running boards, door edge guards, and black out emblems. My 2016 is paid off so I am making out really well. Can't wait to pick it up.

I put a deposit down back in early November for a LR ORP and was quoted a 3-4 month wait. I called my dealer this week for a status update and he stated that I was #8 on the list for the Lunar Rock and estimated another 3-4 month wait. :goingcrazy: I never expected to wait 7-8 months for a non-PRO model!

I would be calling around. I had a deposit in since July, and I found my truck at a different dealer. I'd still be waiting for an allocation if I just went with one dealer.

Great! Then whoever buys it will have to replace the front diff bearing in six months.

There is no way the 4R is built in Japan. It’s assembled in Japan by parts from China and the Philipenes.

Why would they sell it at a loss? Something is fishy.

They might be using it as a lead generation tool and when you contact them it goes up to MSRP due to you con qualifying for the low internet price.

I would call around and travel if you have to. I was able to find one with a three-month wait roughly with a two-hour drive to the dealer. All my local dealers were trying to ask over MSRP in one way or another several months ago so I went to other dealers.

Possible. Their lower trims are showing only $500 discounts.

It is a great lead generation I have an ORP coming at the beginning of February for the same price and I could not resist just seeing if it was real. Once I get a message back I will report my findings.

Maybe. They had a black Pro at a discounted price on their website about a month ago but it was already spoken for so I didn't drill in for more details (black is a third choice but I would have taken it, if available for that price).

Part of me thinks that Lime Rush on a 4runner isn't a hot combo in their neck of the woods but you could be right that some other tactic is at play.

Who knows? Call them, or don't. I wasn't trying to be controversial, just trying to share what I found while searching for my next 'Runner, for those are chasing the elusive Pro and prefer Lime Rush.

No one is criticizing you. More like tempering expectations.

If it is true and someone on here buys it they’d owe you one hell of a thank you!

Contacted Ken Garff Toyota last night about the ‘internet price’. The called me this morning and stated the website price was a mistake. Actual price MSRP + 10k. No thanks.

    Another bunch of clowns…

You should continue your search and not solely rely on the dealer. Did you want kdss? If you want lunar rock and kdss it’s like one of the hardest combinations to get. I found a lunar rock ORP without kdss about 1hr from me and put a deposit on that. It going to be at the dealership between 1/27-1/29. Once I take delivery of it I’ll get my deposit back from the original dealership I put a deposit down for a lunar rock with kdss. Good luck with your search.

I could be wrong, but I think kdss availability it very dependent on region.

I think that's true, but with a bit of work on the part of the dealership, I think they can get it anywhere if they're willing. It's not common in MN from what I understand, but I was able to get one.

They are available in Mn, I could’ve bought a silver one but didn’t like the color. I was offered a white one with kdss and the trd wheels via a dealer trade but the price was around 50k so I passed on that too. I don’t see the point of the trd wheel package when you can buy the wheels for about 800. Then you can sell the ORP wheels/tires to get some money back.
