    So I had an issue with another member and vendor during a group buy.

    Short version, I felt they were intensionally deceitful with their initial post and subsequent message to me. I contacted the OP and we just basically butted heads which further re-enforced my initial impression.

    I fully assumed that since (in my opinion) they were misleading that they were all about the profit and not about the community. I didn't care about the money and I never asked to be reimbursed but I did not want anyone else to "fall" for the same "trick" that I did.

    So I posted up a thread - without naming names - to warn others.

    Bob, forum staff member, contacted me and asked for details which I provided him privately.

    Unbeknownst to me, Bob reached out to the OP and the vendor and the next thing I know, I have a full refund for the disputed amount.

    Bob did a number of things here:

    1st - he got involved and went way above what I would have ever expected from any forum staff member or moderator.

    2nd - he totally and completely proved me wrong and changed my opinion about Group Buys in general and this particular member and vendor in particular.

    3rd - he demonstrated first hand that this forum and staff behind it truly cares about the members.

    So thank you Bob. Really appreciate what you have done.

    Only two things left for me to do now, send PMs to the OP and vendor and try to mend those fences and since I said from the very beginning it was not about the money, no way in good conscious can I keep this refund. I'm going to donate it to a K-9 charity. I have a couple of rescue dogs and love them to death.

    I've done multiple group buys from here and TacomaWorld and never had an issue :popcorn:
