Live by Hudson River, in winter I open my sunroof and sit on console with my binoculars observing the eagles which winter in the area. A sunroof is a very useful addition to me!

I love not having a sunroof. In AZ it's just one more place to radiate the heat into the cab during the summer. I've had them on other cars, and honestly only opened them a handful of times over the years. Simply not worth it for me.

    No moonroof, no problem.

Has a moonroof, I would use it. Not a deal breaker either way.

I have had three vehicles with sunroofs over the past 20 years and rarely opened them. I would prefer not to have one. My wife on the other hand loves a sunroof and would not go without. We have a Chevy Suburban (bought new in 2002) with a sun roof and we sealed it closed three years since it started to malfunction. I guess 16 years is a good run for a sunroof. It is my kid's beater truck for hunting and fishing now, so a non-issue!

I don't use mine very often, but it is a sweet moment when I do. The beach, slot canyons, and redwood forests are what it's for. I just used mine this week. I've owned 4runners with moon roofs for 30 years, and never had a leak.

Contrary to what you hear on Internet forums, the overwhelmingly vast majority of vehicles currently on sale in the US that come with a sunroof will never ever have a problem with the sunroof.

This kind of sunroof is old, by industry standards, and is not panoramic. It is still quite large and makes a substantial difference in the amount of light inside the cabin. If you don’t close the sunshade, your vehicle will be noticeably warmer.

It does not significantly affect the amount of headroom in a truck of this size, unless you are a freakishly large human being.

Also, at reasonable, around the town speeds, it is not loud and can be enjoyed up to about 45-50 mph. If you tilt it, it can create pretty good airflow, especially on warm winter days.
