Switching wiring harness out

    1988 Toyota 4runner
    Slightly lifted,custom roofrack
    I am putting a motor from a 1989 automatic 4runner 3vz into my 1988 manual 4runner 3vz. Is it possible to use the wiring harness from the automatic in my manual if I just do not plug in the extra plugs?
