I recently bought a sweet '01 SR5 and it's checked out great so far. My daughter tried to start it yesterday and there was nothing. I wasn't home so I told her to check the battery terminals. Sure enough, the negative was loose. She twisted it down and the lights/chimes came on, however, still nothing on the motor. I had her remove the terminal and re-attach it and the horn started going off in alarm fashion, but still nothing on the motor. I'm thinking the factory alarm system disabled the start. Any ideas?

Do you know if the starter clicks or tries to turn the motor when attempting to start it?

No sir. Nothing. Just the horn blaring, and there is power to the accessories.

OK problem solved. Simply push the little red button on lower dash a few times and apparently that resets the disable function.
