So............Tailgate speaker question

    turned out the Pioneed component system may not fit depth-wise afterall, won't be able to put the tailgate trim cover back on. Pulled the trigger and bought Crutchfield's Herts DCX130.3. I hope the Hertz is not as junk as they say it is.

    Yeah that’s the right adapter. I’m not sure of the point in bypassing the hatch speakers however. It’s nice having them work if you are working out of the hatch listening to a podcast or something. If it’s “but 8Ω!” You’re maybe talking about a -3dB and frankly the rear doors are too loud already. If you don’t want to spend the $$ to match them with what you put in the rear doors, I’m thinking… you already spent what, and what’s a little more?

    Thanks.

    When hatch is closed they have a drawer box 4 inches from them that blocks the sound. If I'm out Camping or working out the back of it I have a Bluetooth speaker. And I don't mind saving $$$.
