Do you need tires for strictly highway driving? Snowy mountain roads? Winter rock crawling?

First, I want to say thank you for asking. I am only using them for traveling around town in snowy Cleveland Ohio and the suburbs. I want to have a second set of wheels and snow tires for this purpose.
