Scratched mine pretty bad on one wheel in the rocks a few weeks ago. I was driving through a dried-up river bed that was all big rocks and boulders.

Yeah I dunked my rear passenger rim on a rock off roading on my 22 TRDP guess between that and snapping off 3 of the 4 steps on the cheap predator steps that came from the factory she’s officially broken in lol

Not stressed on the steps getting real rock sliders but I would love suggestions on touching up the rim

I had better results than I expected touching up these TRD rims with just flat black spray paint. Just sprayed the paint on to a paper plate, then touched up the rim with an artist brush. Came out good enough that you really have to look for it to find where I touched it up.

I cleaned a set of badly scratched ORP rims with a cotton drill buff and meguires cleaner wax. It has an extremely fine gentle abrasive in it that’s impossible to screw up.

Dude I am OCD about finishes also on wheels and the vehicle in general also (i need car xanax); I do not have your wheels (have factory ORP wheels) and even those have a few small marks and I have never been off road and only have 800 miles. I have just used Meguiars car wash (in a separate bucket) each time to wash and used terry cloth, i probably should have used microfiber. Mine seem to get a lot of brake dust, I got a wooly bully brush from Adams but have only used that for the inner part of the wheel.

The marks i have are black and initially look like a tar type substance but do not want to come out, I am reluctant to try bug and tar remover though. The car wash and elbow grease have not worked.

Those black marks are probably baked on / embedded brake dust. Have you tried a wheel cleaner with an iron oxide remover? Meguiars Ultimate All Wheel cleaner is one that is readily available at most auto parts stores. I use this one from P&S - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094PR7HZX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Thanks. I have mothers aluminum mag whee cleaner which mothers told me was the least abrasive but have not tried it on 4R yet. They told me to be very careful since some cleaners take the finish off the wheels. Appreciate the tip will have to check out that product.

Evening so I do not have scratches but seems more like brake dust baked in, I have TRD Pro Matte black rims and they have brownish coloring in between openings. I have tried multiple cleaners to include the ones listed here with out any luck. I had a ceramic guy tell me he could clean them up and ceramic coat them but not for $750, thanks but no thanks. Open to any ideas. I will trya nd get a good photo tomorrow if the weather is good. Appreciate nay thoughts.

A little dirt & brake dust will fix that right up. Its a go anywhere truck, not a sports car.
