Hi guys! I would appreciate some advice regarding rock sliders. I just got my new 2021 4Runner TRD Pro. What an awesome truck!! It came with the Predator tubes. I now want to put sliders on and was thinking of the Apex Fab, DOE, bolt on, 20 deg, kick out, black powder finish. What do you guys think of them, or would you recommend alternatives? Thanks and Happy Sunday !!

Welcome! I'm using RSG w/20 degree tilt. They are working great and very easy install. The Apex model is another good choice and appear to be well built. Ease of installation is always a plus in my book. Happy shopping!

    So many sliders…

My buddy just picked up some RSG sliders for his 4th Gen tonight.

For me, I have CBI on my Tacoma, and went with them for my wife’s 21’ 4Runner. Installed last week.

    KO2’s went on today. Woot.

Replaced my Predator steps with RSG flat, no kickout, with grip top plate. Great sliders.

    Feel free to ask
Add RCI to your list while you are researching the others. I’ve got RCI 5 degree sliders with top plates. I don’t have any pictures to highlight the sliders, but a search should yield plenty of pictures.

I went with the RCI Offroad Sliders, no top plate, for KDSS, 20 degree angle standard, raw. I choose these for several reasons, 1. They have the kick-out. 2. D.O.M. steel is standard for them, most companies will charge extra for that. And I got them on a group buy through this forum!

    Now off to the powdercoating!

I got RSG too. I got the flat ones with top plate and kick out since I got a kiddo. For the looks I would go with angled and no kick out. This is my old video. Planing to do a detailed video when I install RSG on my new 4Runner doing rust proofing and clearly showing how it's installed. I just share the videos if it helps anyone, nothing serious.

I like those, Doublewide. I think they are similar to ones I got. I also got them without plate. I opted for the Rhino/X-line black coating. I read good things about this finish type, but I sincerely hope it will be worth the money ($200 extra!)

Yes sir. They gave me the sliders since the predator steps were "missing" from the new as stated in the pdf sent to me before the delivery.

I ordered the Cali Raised (Apex) 0 degree with top plates for my 21 OR. I ordered in raw steel and plan to finish with Upol Raptor liner. They are scheduled to arrive on Monday (5/11).

I’ll post pics when painted and installed..
