    Do these help?

Looks like someone was already in here splicing something. I have no idea (yet) what these wires are.

    Some more pics

Definitely missing some wires to my door harness:

Looks like I'm missing some wires back here, so even if I add wires to my connector they're not going to work.

It looks like you’d need to add the pins and wires that are missing in the kick panel connector, then exchange the mirror connector for the right one for the mirrors with signals and puddle lights, re-pinning what’s already there to the new connector with the added wires you need.

Looking at the backside of the connector in the kickpanel, it looks like I'm missing wires, so even if I add pins to the kick panel connector there's nothing there to connect them to, right? Where would I get the pins, wires and connectors from?

    sarcy,

thanks for the pictures. well we tried. i was hoping for the best that the plug was just missing the wires. but looks like where the plug goes into is also missing wires. only if i had a truck with no turn signals, i could poke around more.

perhaps if you have the time, you can turn on your blinkers and poke around with a meter :) try to find the turn signals somewhere in there.

until the turn signal wires are found in the cab, only option is to wire thru the fender to the physical turn signals. perhaps you can look at the colors of the turn signals in the fender, they might match something in the cab.

My 2019 SR5 just has standard heated mirrors, no turn signals or lamps. I did try to dig into the driver's kick panel, but aside from the plastic nut I did not immediately see how to remove the panel. I'll need to research, so I don't break anything.

Since it's all off now I'll see if I can find where the turn signal wires are and also need to figure out what I'm going to splice into for the puddle lamps to work. Any thoughts where I can get a new connector for the mirror since mine is round and the replacement is rectangle? Is this something you can just order from Toyota?

Daytonaviolet, any chance you can take a look at this connector and give me the part #?

it may be an entire harness which you’ll need to replace. It may not be worth it. If you can find the turn signal signals, you can just hardwire directly to the mirrors without they harness. I believe you can just tap of the dome/vanity lights for the puddle.

Thanks for the pics. Sarcy posted the other day that that the receptacle for that 22pin plug is also missing the turn signal wires. That means non premium or models with out turn signals and puddles use a different harness under the kick panel.

If you get the super bright MESO puddle pod LED modules you can check for monsters before getting in at night.
I wired mine with a switch for anytime control for use as pseudo ditch lights.
