One's about rock crawlers and the other's about rocks!

Here's some fibrous asbestos for you from Finning Mill. Don't lick it.

Thanks, @MeefZah, for the tip. I had the beach to myself, just me and the bears.

Yes. And screw that stretch of road from Usal to Shelter Cove. I mean, it had some big trees and no people, but was long and lots of braking, maybe 10-15mph the entire route? And then I hit Whale Gulch: looked like a bunch of tweakers who converted to cannabis.

And slow traffic, keep right, or else!

I'm checking out Barney Riley Tuesday, if anyone's interested. Tree carvings, shiny rocks, Indian sites, hot springs. Camping Monday night on Monitor pass. Maybe Tuesday night at the springs, if the Swedish Volleyball Team is there. (Another true story.)

Heck yeah! I’ve wormed being remote for my company for about 12 years now. They are cool though, I had no issues coaching high school football and they’d let me bug out at 2 or so to do it.

I'm glad nobody came on this trip, because it was sketchy as hell. My truck probably assumed every possible position, one tire off the ground, two, three tires even. About 3.5 hours of 4Lo with a serious obstacle maybe every 10 minutes; the kind of obstacle that could rip off your bumper, shatter a window, or leave a dent the length of your truck. I don't really enjoy that kind of trail, but I had a destination and it was all downhill. I even went down hills that I wasn't sure I could make it back up, lol, fueled by Sierra Nevada and knowledge of all the recovery groups out there. This trail will definitely test your truck and your abilities.

First day I went looking for peacock ore. Found some, and also pissed off some hunters spot lighting from the roadway.
    IMG_3631enh.jpg

    IMG_3623sm.jpg

    Woke up to this view:
    IMG_3643sm.jpg

Downed snags were one of the biggest hazards, just waiting for your truck to flex the wrong way and poke out a window or kiss the side of your truck. I used my chainsaw four times the first day.
    IMG_3680sm.jpg

Final stretch down to the river was easy compared to the rest of the trail, just a boulder field like the Rubicon Trail's Gatekeeper.
    IMG_3684sm.jpg

First crossing, and hot spring (good etiquette is to leave the tub empty for the next guy to refill).

    IMG_3687sm.jpg

Second crossing, with several hot tubs, including a shower into the river:
    IMG_3690sm.jpg

Day 3, not quite ready to go home, so messing around on Donner Summit:

Good thing for the baling wire, or I would've lost my license plate. And screw that boulder hidden in the river. It has a chrome surface from all the times it's been hit.

We're looking for a 4Runner in the area to film an install video for this beautiful piece we recently released...

    grill.jpg

We're looking for someone who's willing to drive to come up to our Rocklin manufacturing facility to let us film and take photos of the vehicle. In return, you'll get to keep the part FOR FREE!

    Thanks for looking out!

Just so y'all know, we offer these in Matte Black, Gloss Black, Textured TPO, Paintable ABS* and Armor Coated** (Sprayed with truck bedliner)

*We won't paint it for you. We will install the matte black overlay for the video, remove the product afterwards and give you the Paintable to have painted. (Unless you want Toyota Army Green or Toyota Cement Gray, but we'll have to tack on a small charge if that's the case)

**For the Armor Coated we will need to tack on a small charge.
