    Do you need a ladder? My gobi came with one and I like it when I use it but that doesn't happen often. If you need side access to the roof, there are cheap hangers for the door rings that give you a step. Someone will have to link to Amazon

    Yes I know Gobi comes with a ladder but Gobi costs over 1700 bucks. I need a combo for like $700. Anything that folks here have experience with.

    A ladder and rack for 700 bucks, good luck. I haven’t shopped ladders yet, but I expect to be paying 3 to 5 hundred, a good rack is 700 plus.

    please post up what you find, I am curious.

    There will be nothing you'd want in that price range. You'd be happy until you unpacked the box to assemble and install and saw the quality. Cheapest quality rack will probably be close to $1k by itself if you're talking full roof rack. I agree with @Spare Parts that you're looking 3-5 for a good ladder.
