Ive successfully swapped out the HU on my 19 SR5 but im not sure what to do to retain the hazard switch. I see how the connector at the switch end of the harness is different. Id rather not have to replace the new hazard switch with the old one if i dont have too.

So my question is are the connections the same/compatible at the other end of the hazard switch harness? So could i just replace the old harness with the one from the new switch and be done with it? Are there any other ways i can retain the hazard w/o cutting it out?

The switch bracket is different. Your old switch will not fit into the new head unit directly.
Wrap electrical tape around your old switch to make it snug and then push in. Works perfectly
I did this sometime ago so don't remember if the connectors are interchangeable.

Harnesses are not compatible and the buttons are functionally different. 2014-2019 are latching switches. 2020-2024 are momentary. Do you have access to a 3D printer? I made a bracket to retain the switch. Takes about 10 minutes to print and fits perfectly
