    Just following up...

I went ahead and ordered the Takeover version to take advantage of the 20% Memorial Day discount they were offering. If it all checks out, I will list of non-takeover version of the Remote Start on this forum.

    1) Yes, you DO have to hold down the brake for 3 seconds before shifting.

    2) You MAY have to cut one wire on the remote start module (NOT on your vehicle) depending on the year of your vehicle and whether the steering wheel locks; it'll be in the instructions. I had to cut mine. There's no other cutting or splicing involved.

    3) I didn't lose them in my SR5 Premium, can't speak for anyone else.

Edit: Just realized this question was for Accessorides; this is just my experience.

The question was mainly addressed to the vendor but I appreciate anyone chiming in so thank you for your response!

regarding 1), what happens if you don’t hold the brake for long enough before shifting, does it just turn off?

    2) this is reassuring. I don’t mind cutting wires on the module, just didn’t want to cut anything on the truck itself.

    3) the reviewer mentions that it only happens with MTM, but I’m wonder if he messed up during the install or if he had a bad module?
This one is the dealbreaker with me, if the trajectory lines disappear. Anyone with MTM has had this issue?

Do you have MTM on yours by any chance?

The lines in my reverse camera are still there after the install. (NOTE: This isn't my pic, but another member on this forum. Mine looks exactly like this even after install. I'm not sure if your Pro has something different)

The truck will shut off if you don't hold the brake down long enough. Also, I don't have MTM.

Pro and some ORPs have MTM which is essentially a software stitching all 4 cameras to give you a 360° view. That one person stated that the still lines on his truck still appear but the trajectory ones when you turn the steering wheel are gone. It seems strange but unless the vendor or someone with MTM can confirm or deny, I don’t want to have to go through the whole install just to find out I have to remove it if my lines disappear

Pretty sure the 3 second thing was on earlier versions. I can certainly say mine does not require a 3 second brake press.

There is the option to turn off the trajectory lines while turning. I'm wondering if that got reset while the battery was disconnected during install (mine didn't), or it was accidently turned off.

I am not sure how long the brake actually needs to be pressed, but I just press it while I put my seatbelt on and it has always been long enough.

I guess I’ll try it and report back once installed

I contacted the vendor through their website and they confirmed that trajectory lines are not impacted so I placed an order. Looking forward to not having the truck turn off as soon as I open the door. Such a stupid design by Toyota!

“Hello. They likely hit the button on the screen to turn the lines off without realizing it. Our kit does nothing to enable/disable the parking lines so you don't have to worry about that. Thanks!”

Will this work with the factory remote start like on the Limiteds and Pro's?

I think the only difference between the 22 and 23 Pro's is the 23 has cross traffic alert. I hope it works on yours

22 has cross traffic alert as well. The only difference I can think of is heated steering wheel

I know the only thing that was different from 03 to 04 was just a price increase, you can have the heated steering wheel.

So I finally have the remote start with takeover from Accesorides installed and working properly.

Install was very easy. Just take your time removing panels.
The printed instructions provided are somewhat useful but very basic and not the best print quality. Following the video from OP helped. Also, if using the OEM fob, there's no need on using the harness that goes to the driver side.

With that said, the first module I received did not work. I contacted customer service (very nice and helpful) and they tried troubleshooting but since it appeared to be defective they sent me a new module. The new module also did not work so I contacted them again and they said they had 1 other customer with the same issue I had but they just had updated the firmware and most likely sent me an older version so they would send me a 3rd one with the updated firmware. Finally this one worked as it should! Really happy with the whole process, shame on Toyota for not having it done this way.

Regarding the trajectory lines with the MTM, I did lose them at first. However this is due to disconnecting the battery (nothing to do with the remote start), and after driving for a few miles they came back as normal.

What happens if we have the original Accessorides remote start and want to upgrade? There was some cut wires involved with the original.

that might be a question to email Accessorides about. Sounds like semprenissart did not have one previously.

Correct, I did not have any aftermarket remote start previously (just the one from factory).
From what I heard the original Accesorides remote start cannot be upgraded but like @Steely123 said, it is better to contact Accesorides directly about it to be sure.

She's smart! a lot of beautiful trails in AZ...

August is going to be hot. It's already 113F here, today. Remote start definitely helps cooling the cabin. A good sunshade is also vital if you dont want to burn your hands touching the steering wheel.

I contacted Accessorides, I thought you could add the takeover to the factory remote start, they told me I have to purchase their remote starter with takeover. I don't want to lose my factory remote start, I use the Toyota app .

Finally got around to installing the Takeover version in my 2024 and ran into an issue (it won’t remote start when I press the key fob 3x!). I will be reaching out to Accesorides Support tomorrow to troubleshoot and will report back. Here is the experience I had tonight

    1) disconnected battery and removed functioning non-takeover Accesorides remote start

    2) installed new takeover version (connected 3 connectors on passenger-side). I cut green wire since I have a 2024 which doesn’t have a steering wheel lock.

    3) programmed new module successfully (all steps responded like instructions said they would)

    4) attempted to press key fob lock 3x, but nothing happens. I checked module for any light indicators and nothing happens.

    5) instructions say driver-side connector is only needed if phone app is used- I went ahead and connected to see if there was any change there was not

    6) reseated all connections and reset/reprogrammed module with no change.

I had no issues installing the first non-takeover and it worked right away. This one is giving me issues. Will hopefully talk to their support tomorrow, but a little bummed this didn’t work out of the box.

Spoke with Accesorides… very quick to respond and resolve. Confirmed there was a firmware issue for orders around May to where they don’t look for an OEM remote. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be an easy way for me to re-flash the module. He confirms he will be shipping me a new module (express shipping) and I should have it in a couple days. Very impressed with the quick support and transparency.

Just got done installing the setup. I have the module CM-DC3 that came with it, cell remote start, oem and long distance key fob. I can confirm, the programing instructions for the module and key fob are 100% incorrect. Being in tech, searching the modules myself on how to program them i figured it out.

I installed it on a 2021 Tundra/push to start. Outside of that, everything works really well as expected. I'm happy with it. The hardest part is finding a route for the long pinout wire to go from passenger side to driver side. I did find a youtube video on how to remove the entire dash, that was awesome and streamlined that process.
