Rear hatch won't open

    My rear hatch stopped working the handle has play but the rod moves when I pull on the handle but doesn't ingage the cable that opens up the hatch anyone else have this problem? Please help.

    your best bet for getting a look at the mechanism is to remove the gray or chrome license plate bezel. youll be able to access damn near everything from that side of the tail gate. remove your license plate and license plate lights and it should pull away from the tail gate. obviously exercise caution as there will be a connection to the key cylinder as well you'll have to remove.

    Mine did that as well. I got it opened and took the panel off cleaned everything and lube it all and have had no problem with it since

    as well mine did the same. It was the result of non use. now I make it a point to open it once n a while :)
