Rattling Sound

    Hi All,

    I am new to the forum and need some advise. 2018 4Runner making rattling noise on front passenger side whenever there are bumps etc. mostly whenever the body rocks it makes this sound .

    Any advise what it can be

    You either need to be a bit more descriptive or post a video. It could be many different things.

    Sounds like your radio isn't loud enough. Try that 1st.

    Definitely your splash guards on the inner wheel well. Super common issue.install some ARK splashguards and you’ll be good.

    I second this, it's an easy thing to fix and check. Don't agree that you need to replace them though, all you need to do is put a zip tie around the factory fastener to add extra tension on it, then it will not rattle.

    Solved it with reinstalling new plastic fasteners.. got a whole box of them for $20 Or buy $120 new liners … :)

    Good job with the economical solution. :woot:

    You may find the liners will need to be replaced eventually. The material they are made of becomes brittle over time and they will begin to tear/break up. Yes, pricey but with the Ark guards it’s a buy once, cry once situation. The material is far more durable/superior than the paper thin rubber/plastic used from the factory. Just my $.02.
