This my first vehicle with smart key and push button start.

    Good Evening all -

is there any way to stop the engine while leaving the accessories on?

for instance I’m listening to the radio while picking up lunch and want to continue while I park and eat, but pressing the start button turns everything off and I have to restart the systems by pushing the start button without stepping on the brake pedal.

can it even be done? Haven’t found t n the manual yet.

    BTW I LOVE this vehicle!

    Thanks

Hit the brakes. Stay in drive. Push button to stop engine. Shift to park. Accessory will stay on until you open a door. Or push button again.

Hit the start button without your foot on the break, the dash will tell you the first time you push its accessory mode, the second time you push it, it’s the on position. just remember if it’s in the on position to turn it back off or the car will yell at you when you try to lock it and walk away.

He's talking about when you turn the engine off and keeping accessory mode on. The only way I found was as mentioned, leaving the truck in gear. My F150's would stay in accessory mode for 5 minutes if you turned the engine off and didn't open the door.

I wondered if it was something the dealer can set

It's safer to put it into neutral and then follow the same process.
