Yes it was not easy However I had a good card in fact that I was trading in a 2018 TRD Pro Tacoma that they actually had a Buyer on site wanting it and they knew I would simply walk because when I went to the Dealership in the first place I was there to pick up parts for my Tundra.

Typically non particularly. Maybe $500 or $1000. I'm sure there's a few people who will tell you more, but they are few and far between. The most I know of people getting off was due to Military discounts, as with my friends AG 2020 Pro, to which he got I think $800 off from MSRP.

Even the Off road models don't carry a ton of markdown, and that's the main reason the resale prices are strong. Discounting a $40k to $30k like other brands do makes the effective price $30k and therefore used car prices start from there and decline, leading to 1 year old cars worth $25k when the "sticker" is $40k. Toyota doesn't offer a lot of discounts, but you make it up when it's time to sell because the price isn't diluted.

According to the dealer I ordered mine from, not only do they not discount them ever, but they also don't incentivize them for the Toyota employees. Straight MSRP

I got my TRD/ORP/SR for 2 grand off List on one that was just on route from Japan for the Dealer's inventory. But it appears had I waited just two weeks later, I would have had to pay MSRP. And traded my 2010 FJ Cruiser with 161,000 for more than half of what I paid new. Just lucky timing I guess.

You see ads on TV for Toyota. When was the last time anyone saw an ad for a 4Runner ?

Not a troll post, update us when you get it to confirm you really got this.

I ordered a Pro "stock" and was assured it wouldn't have add ons. Came with $2k adds on and I bought an ORP.

Oh I will for sure! My parents and I have been going to this dealer for many cars now. I "ordered" what I wanted and haven't heard of there being anything different about the vehicle besides what I ordered. My sales guy quoted me at the $1500 off msrp, so I can only assume he will stay true to that. It seems like it would be silly to lose customers that have been returning for years over backing out of something like that.

    *Edit*
I do have paperwork that the sales guy signed for that quote. I'll know for sure come mid-july

Assuming MSRP, $38.5 for a base SR5 and $50K for a TRD Pro, you could build one serious rig for that $11.5K difference.

I bought during the middle of COVID-19 I got a base model SR5 for $3,000 off MSRP.
At that time any sale was better than no sale,I guess, and I walked out with a good deal.
I NEVER saw any TRD 4 runners on sale ,however.

Was offered $2000 off a Calvary Blue Pro in 2018 by Toyota of Dallas or Richardson - can't remember exactly.

I was looking at the sales sheet for mine today. 2021 SR5P with moonroof, blackout package, connectivity kit, roof rack cross bars and protection package. No trade in. $44,813 out the door. That was December 4, 2020. I feel pretty fortunate. It took right at 5 weeks and a $500 refundable deposit.
