I was only a kid when I first encountered a "flash cube." My aunt had a nice Kodak camera when I was a wee lad, and I remember it had a flash cube on it. Lord, those were the days.

That first pic of the pool...reminds me of an important lesson when hiking in the sierras...with a storm front moving in. Similar 'divots' in granite signify lightning strikes! In your case I've never seen one that deep into rock and obviously you are safe since you're posting here! Must have been that Gnome digging for gold or something...

I changed the development temperature from what is recommended to alter the colors and make them unsaturated. also washed the film a little different to creat the streaks and splotches

Nice pic! What kind of bird is that? Looks a little like a green heron.

You are correct, here's a description I found at a bird site:

"The Green Heron is part of a complex of small herons that sometimes are considered one species. When lumped, they are called Green-backed Heron. When split, they are the Green Heron, the widespread Striated Heron, and the Galapagos Heron"

Nice shots! The one looks like porcupine quills.

Maybe Nikon won't find the parts and will send a P1000 instead.

Yep, I'm not letting go lol.
