so I recently noticed my car making a realy nasty sound when I Move from P -> R when parking on a hill. I thought I was doing something wrong.
    - so I decided to google some stuff. Is this right?

“By applying the parking brake first, youallow the brakes to hold the wheels in place so the car doesn't roll and push the park mechanism to the point where it's difficult to remove. RAY: When you drive away, do the opposite: Take the car out of park first, and then release the parking brake. “

Have you noticed a difference following this procedure? I need to be better about setting the parking brake first when parking. Sometimes I feel like I’m wrestling mine out of Park and into Reverse.
