Wanted black rims for my white 2016 4Runner, so painted my stock rims instead. I love them.

Great job on painting the rims.

Nice flag too, but is it backwards?

I think the wind is blowing the flag.

BTW, I was considering powder coating my stock wheels black but instead purchased TRD wheels.

Did you paint, plasti dip, or powder coat your wheels. I think they look pretty good?

The proper way to have a flag displayed on a vehicle is the union must face towards the front, the union is assaluting forward, not running away. I plasti dipped them, to see what it will look like black, but plan on powder coating them in th future

If you are not aware, do not get Armor All near your dipped wheels. I learned that the hard way on my Mustang. Armor All will melt the plastidip instantly.

Going to dip my stock wheels black to see what it looks like. Eventually, I'd like to get the black Trd's. b741049bd9178c3416276de04c3b8b75_2de5e46d829103e4fddb9e0df42eb6f5054632ad.jpg

I want to chime in bc I dipped my Premium Trail before getting TRD Wheels. Plasti dip is an ez way to black out your rims and if done right, looks great. However once you do it, if it’s not evenly sprayed around the edges, it will peel and look whack. You can’t just touch it up bc of the rubbery texture of the paint. I made the misyof going thru machine car washes which made it worse.

But if you are careful with the wheels, it should last a couple years. Try it and you will see what I am talking about!
