The throttle will no doubt be more sensitive on the medium and spicy tunes, but you get used to it in 5 minutes or less and your brain adjusts your foot and how you apply pressure to the pedal. The 2023 we had tuned is my wifes daily, i rarely ever drive it. I daily a 2008 4R that has "perfect" tuning, it feels great and everything is really nice about it. When i do hop in the wifes and move it i'll spin the tires on the gravel the first time and then say "whoops" and almost automatically my brain changes the throttle application and foot pressure applied to the throttle without even noticing it. Once you take off a time or two your foot wont smash the pedal 10% just to get you moving anymore.
We have spicy, the super spicy i would only recommend for 34-35" tires and or a lot of weight. We have 305/50-20 and the tune drives like a dream now but it will chirp the tires on pavement if you are not careful.

I found (OTT) the initial tune it was too aggressive, especially after being used to the 4Runner’s stock set up. I already had a throttle controller (Ultimate 9) which I only used to disengage the gas pedal for overnight parking (as part of layered anti theft approach). I ended up with the mild OTT flash, and I use the throttle controller in the Ecomode at its highest setting. Take off is smooth and a gentle to a little laggy, but I’m focused on fuel savings and ease on drivetrain. I also liked when some slow paced offroading dropping the Eco setting more to not have hard sections spin out

Thank you for the explanation. It's like any other ECU tune then.
I guess I will have to see if I can drive one that has this tune to see if it works for me.
