    I have a 2004 4Runner.
The right rear door got damaged. I removed the plastic panel and had it repainted. When I removed the panel, some of the plastic clips stayed on the panel, some stated on the door.
I have new plastic clips. Do I install them on the plastic panel, or on the door? I'm sure there is a correct way.

When I repaired my 4Runner I installed them on the trim piece and snapped them in, Either way will work. Guess it is what is easiest for that particular panel.

Can you go over how you removed the panel? My panel is about to fall off and I want to replace the clips but I’m not certain where to get the clips and how to remove the panel without breaking something. Your help is appreciated
