    I don't remove my skid plate for oil change, i made my own ramps out of 2x6 for a custom height to match my driveway slope, so now the truck is level even though the front is on ramps. This gives me just enough clearance to allow the skid plate to swing open. It can be a bit messy, but nothing a bit of brake-clean cant clean up.

    If i need to work on the back of the truck, i can just backup the truck to get the height at the rear.
