First week and loving it!

 

New member & new owner.. 5 days in..

 

First Mod done this morning. Window tint - 3M, 35%.

 

Fronts only or rear as well? Debating if I should do 35% all around or just the front. I usually get only the front done on all my previous cars..

 

I only did the fronts to match the rears. Feel it’s almost a perfect match. Been going to the same tint guy for 15 years and he felt 35% was going to be the closet to factory.

 

Does that fit into your garage?

My brick is supposed to arrive at the port tomorrow and dealer next week...
and Im worried about it fitting in my garage, the lowest point is lights hanging down to about 79" off the ground

I know the height is 72", but not sure how much higher the basket makes it

Anyone know the height to highest point of the basket?

 

I just measured mine for you. 78"

That looks good, pictures do not do this color justice. What tint % did you go with? That also looks good, did you do all windows?

 

That looks amazing. Kinda wish I had held out for a Terra - but really didn't want to pay over MSRP

 

I bought mine out of state and had it shipped to me. Local dealers were asking 5k+ over MSRP.

 

35% front 2 (Texas Legal) and Limo over back factory. With cameras and roll down window it’s not a concern and I have truly never had an issue seeing out.

 

I was lucky with my purchase. Dealer in Waco Texas, took off the cost for all port added items while still including them all, and also dipped below MSRP. I was pretty blown away with their service.

 

I got mine for MSRP, no price adjustments...but they did stick tinted windows, nitrogen tires, 100K warranty, and a pin stripe on it for $1195

Around DFW, limiteds are advertised $5K off sticker...but TRD Pros have a $5K price increase and more dealer bloat

Just saw one on the lot that sold for $72K+ in DFW

Is anyone else seeing excessive swirl marks on their brick? Or are they just more noticeable on this color? I just hit 1,000 miles and everywhere I look I see swirl marks. I have hand washed 3 times since taking delivery.

 

This color definitely shows swirls. I'm seeing a lot of it too and I also only hand wash or go through a touch free rinse.

I plan on doing a clay bar and polish next weekend. Hopefully that'll help.

 

Terra is a great color. I particularly like that its an old supra color. It fits this car perfectly. I personally like it more than solar octane. While solar octane is a beautiful color, it is just too "youthful". Terra matches the earthy personality of this car much more.

 

I remember the 1985 Celica Supras with the 2.7L engine, wasn't that color more red than the Terra?

I was at the dealer for an oil change and spotted a Solar Octane ORP, if it had a sunroof...I would have bought it that day

I came home and started researching and decided on a TRD Pro, and I wanted the Terra color...
My dealer had one allocated that was not sold, but ETA was a month +, so I put a deposit on it...
I could not change the port options, but did get it for MSRP

Another dealer in DFW has a Terra Pro due in a couple of weeks...they want $74,995 for it

My dog went with me to pick it up this Saturday, just before Memorial Day
