Could someone with the oem LED fogs post up a pic from the drivers seat at night? Preferably on a darker road. Tall order here.

I’d really like to see the fog beam pattern.

How many of these options you've all posted are street legal? I assume the Toyota parts are SAE/DOT stamped.
I have Baja Designs as fogs and they are awesome but I have to turn them off for oncoming traffic. Really bright.

I "think" I labeled them correctly, but they are horrible pictures. The best thing i can say is the pattern is under the headlights and wider. which is what i was looking for.

Now some caveats: I live in the suburbs of Phoenix (not a lot of dark roads, also not a lot of fog in the desert), to me these are used like the cornering lights i had on my Escape. Peripheral illumination is more important to me then "lighting something up a quarter mile away" (lots of dogs and kids playing on the sidewalks), also most of my driving is daytime.

I am guessing, these are "knock offs" or "copies" because of the price - $65.00 per pair. You can buy genuine Tundra fogs at $130.00 per pair and supposedly they fit perfectly (also they may have a black reflector as opposed to chrome).

Lastly it is possible these are from the Toyota manufacturer, and they are leftovers from previous Lexus models. It does appear Toyota uses the same components across model and brand lines. All i know is they are better than the halogen reflector fog lamps that came with the 4Runner.

Hope this is of some help .... :)

Did you ever purchase these? If so, was it a worthy upgrade? Thanks!

i also concur. the first two pictures has a wider light output which indicates that the fogs are on.

What does “driving pattern” consist of? Is it meant to just enhance low beam performance?

The way I understand it, that it is a mixture of a wide flood and a spot light giving the most spread of light. On my old Tacoma I used a set of Rigid spots and a set of Rigid floods but could not achieve the same level of light coverage even though the Bajas have less lumens. I think Baja nailed in with these lights and even though I have a set of Baja spots on my ditch brackets the driving pattern is more than enough.

Since my low beams suck so bad, I want to find something legal to put in the fogs to enhance the low beam. But i don’t want something that will bother other drivers.

been wondering if one of the Baja pods would fit the bill.

I have your solution! Factory LED fogs. They are DOT & SAE legal. I chose a black bezel as it matches our truck.
Once I do HID Low's (need to match color temp of bulbs) I will be completely happy! These throw light to the side while the low beam should push more light outwards.

    factory LED kit:
    20191211_192128.jpg
That is just the factory LED fogs! I cannot wait to get HID's for this truck!
    I hope I helped.

This is how a black (vehicle) on black housing looks...

The box is @ my shop.
If no one can get it I will get a picture of the box tomorrow!
Drivers side is reachable with long arms.
Passengers side had fluid protection from brake, power steering & washer fluid. Only difficult part!

These DEFINITELY are not street legal but I only use them when other cars aren’t around...true back woods stuff.

In the part description, it says it needs a “fit kit”. Is that accurate?

I purchased nothing but the light housings. They used the same small screws to hold the fog in. The wiring was OEM as the lights are made for a Toyota.
I don't even know what a "fit kit" might do. The factory LED'S are exactly the same (ec
Except for the aiming points) factory is atop while the fogs are on the bottom.
Also, the LED'S that are supposed to run cooler have a metal heat sink! Toyota does some odd things for being such a big company!

FYI, I forgot what thread but people said the pro led fog is much better than the 120 buck oem Amazon one. People were buying them for like 300? anyway its the same damn bulb. I kept the oem amazon ones and compared them to the ones that came on my pro.
That or Toyota cheaped out and cut cost on the 20 pros, lol
Shameless plug...spare set will be in classified whenever I get round to taking a pic :)

You maybe mistaken for the Tundra Pro LED'S. They are Rigid brand & bright as the sun!
No 4runner can get Rigid fogs yet, without major mods. The Rigids are square and the OEM are round.

Just a data point here... In the Tacoma, there’s a difference between the Halogen SR5 vs TRD OR fogs. The off road fogs are wide angle. The SR5 are not.

So, I’ve wondered if there are differences in the 4runner fogs, too (not including the led ones). Haven’t been able to confirm.
