Been wanting a cool bike for a while now. I had a `93 Harley Davidson Road King back when I lived in Arizona and sold it to pay for the down payment on a house.

Got divorced a couple of years later and then no house and no bike, lol.

So, was chatting with a girl at work the other day who rides a Honda cruiser. Smoking hot young thing that is half German and half Chinese with a degree in psychology. I told her that I was thinking about getting a bike again, and she said if I did, then we could go on road trips together. That was all the motivation I needed.

Hopped on the computer to check Craigslist and Cycletrader and found a couple of decent deals on Japanese cruisers in my area, but nothing perfect.

My folks winter down in Yuma, AZ and I usually drive down there every late winter to go enjoy the sun and go out with their Jeep club on group rides in the desert.

So I figured I might as well search their area.

Bingo! Found a `94 HD Road King a few blocks from their house. My uncle, who also winters down there, is a former owner of a Honda motorcycle dealership and an expert on Indians. His buddy is huge Harley enthusiast. So, they all went and looked at the bike today and rode it.

I was told that it was perfect. 31,000 miles and all original. Like new! Never spent a night outside.

My dad negotiated the deal and the owner agreed to have the HD dealer do a complete service and fluid change, and raise the handle bars, and sell it to me for $5,000.

Super happy and now I get to go down there in the next month or so and trailer it back up here.

No good pics of it, since old farts looked at it and didn't think to take any pics with their phones. My dad did think to get a quick video of the buddy test riding it so I could see what it sounded like.

I used to commute from Prescott Valley to Phoenix on my last Road King. Took the I-17. 75 miles one way on the main corridor for drugs from Mexico to the rest of the US. Lots of crazy stuff on that road.

Now I live in a rural area and the ride to work is 15 miles on a rural highway with little traffic. Biggest danger will be deer and pheasants.

I already have a spot in the living room for it. But, how to brake the news to the wifey. I’m gonna have to work for it. Tell her it’s a wise investment? The engine has a fresh rebuild.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
I commuted on I-95 out of Yuma, going about 1/2 way to Quartzite to get to work.
I got creamed by a horse, an illegal, and a little old lady. I am amazed I am still alive, have all my limbs, heck, am still able to walk at all. I DID give up an eye, though.

I finally gave up on riding, although I do love it so.
    Have a good life everyone!

I remember watching a pianist on youtube I was just drawn in by, beautiful music. The music was beautiful, the movement was ballet. Her parents were german and japanese. I tell you what, the human race can just blend sooo nicely…

Bike is safely resting in my folk's garage in Yuma. Towing a 14' enclosed cargo trailer there and back last week of February to pick it up.

The more pics I get of it, the better it looks. Beautiful bike!

I love carbureted EVO, should be able to get 49.9 mpg. Tour pack is a bonus. Nice ride.

Here is mine, it is a Twinkie “103” lots of torque, Around town bike, but as stated I love EVO’S

Keep the shiny side up, and ride with the mind set that these 4Runners, and others don’t see you out there

    My road bike.

I have a carbed Evo. I ONCE got 50+ mpg, riding a whole tank at 50-55mph. That's not the norm though.
