    Hi everyone,

so I just bought a new set of Trail wheel with the OEM Bridgestone dueler HT 684ii tire, and I didn't shop yet for new tires. So, I want some advice for my next tire set, I read a lot of post, but I can't make my mind. I want a light off-road All Terrain tire that is good on road. If possible, I want a low road noise tire (let say no more noisy that the dueler). Do someone have done this change and what you got for replacement ?

Thank you very much guy for the help !

A good place to look is Tirerack.com. They have tons of reviews and you can see ratings like road noise, off road ability and many more. They even rank best to worst and have professionals road test tires and give reviews.

I put KO 2’s load range C on y t4r right after purchase. I am leaning towards firestone at’s next time I think. They are highly regarded and seem like they will be a smoother ride over my KO 2’s.

Good thank you for the advice, how do you find the KO2 ? The review are good for the off-road, but how they are on road ?

I almost bought them for my 4th gen but decided instead on the General Grabber ATX. It's ranked second out of 29 all terrain tires on Tire Rack. It's supposed to be fairly quiet and smooth on road and great off road. Unfortunately, I haven't installed them yet so I can't speak from experience on any of this.

I didn't find them loud at all, but I'm 67 years old so my hearing probably not the best. Lol

I've enjoyed my Falken Wildpeaks, not noisy on the highway. Also, hit up @nimby, he's had nothing but good to say about the Firestone Destination ATs he has on his 4R.

I like my KO 2’s, they drive nice on and off road but they are getting loud at about 25,000 miles. I’m starting to hear a lot of road hum, which is just annoying to me.

Yeah, I'm really happy with my Firestone Destination A/Ts. Very little road noise and very light. Handling is great both on and offroad. @MeefZah has these on his truck as well. Perhaps he will chime in.

I love the Destinations. I'm using the AT2 on both 4Runners now and they are a very good compromise tire... great street manners but still able to get through some gnarly stuff. They are also fairly light (in the 4 ply), but still plenty durable. I've never had a flat on offroad stuff.

They are very quiet actually. Here in AZ, our speed limits are high, 75 on the freeway, and I hardly hear them at 80+. They are also great off road, and so far very puncture resistant on the sharp rocks we have.

AT3’s are ok. I found the sidewalls to be very weak. Did get over 55,000 miles on them though. General Grabber AT/X are great tires. No complaints and have used them on all kinds of terrain. Very quiet too.

I guys, so I get a good deal on a set of Yokohama AT G015, at 730$ CAN for a set shipped at my door its a bargain, at least in canada ;). So I will keep you updated how I find them. They seem to be rated good for highway, quiet enough and give a confortable ride. I see that they are not the strongest AT tire, but, for what I do, I think it will be ok, mostly backcountry road with rock and gravel, no really mud or extreme rock climbing. Anyway they will probably at least be as capable as my current dueller 684, and I find them ok, but not great. But now I wonder if they are OWL, I wish they are not, because it won't fit really well on my black limited.
