I have used this forum for awhile and finally joined. I used to own a 1993 sr5 4x4 4runner and now Own a 2008 sr5 4x4 4runner. Bought the 2008 used with about 36k miles on it and now have over 140k. I do most of my own wrenching. I have owned many Toyota vehicles over the years and in fact just got a brand new 2015 Tacoma trd Offroad 4x4 about 4 weeks ago. I even owned a 80 series Land Cruiser for awhile. I was considering a 2016 Tacoma but one of the reasons I went with the 2015 is its similarity to the 2008 4runner. The front/rear diff and transfer case maintenance is identical down to the torque specs on each drain/fill plugs.
