    Hey Everyone,

Just joined the forum and am looking to get some good information and share the build of my 09' 4 Runner. I just picked it up and will be doing more mods to it with time. Since the 4Runner is a few years old and out of the factory warranty, I've been looking for some extra "insurance". Does anyone have any experience with aftermarket warranties? If so, could you please recommend one?

The only bummer is that I won't be able to mod the engine because I don't want to risk the warranty. But that doesn't mean I can't upgrade the suspension!

3" lift but mostly all stock not a scratch on it it is pristine condition amazing for being 19 years old.
if you are looking for aftermarket part go to rough country for parts to lift your toyota but i would not lift it more than 3 inches any more than 3 your ball joint wear out very quickly and the ride is jaw breaking.

Thanks for the advice. I definitely don't want to go any higher than 3 inches.

I'm curious about the warranty for engine mods

you will have to talk to your toyota dealer to find out about what mods will void your warranty. larry b

the only engine mod that you would have to worry about is a supercharger if you put a supercharger on an engine with to much compression you could do damage to it.

The only way they can refuse warranty work is if they can prove that the aftermarket product you installed caused the failure...it's the law.

VERY TRUE. AND AS FAR AS THOSE AFTER WARRANTY SERVICES BUYER BEWARE A LOT OF THEM ARE SCAMS!!! IF YOU FIND ONE THAT SAID THEY WILL WARRANTY A CAR WITH MORE THAN 150.000 MILES DON'T BUY INTO IT. MOST OF THE REAL PLACES THAT WILL GIVE YOU A WARRANTY CAR MUST BE UNDER 10 YEARS OLD AND HAVE LESS THAN 150.000 MILES.
