    Hello all,

I have owned quite a few trucks in my time but never a 4R. I have had 2 Tacos and various full size trucks. I was watching a video on YouTube of a guy putting his 4R through the paces and that was impressive. So a few weeks later Here I am less one 2018 Chevy Silverado and plus a 2021 Runner ORP with KDSS moonroof package and the 17 inch upgrade TRD wheels. It came with predator bars and black out badges as well. Love it. Look forward to reading up on mods and deciding where to spend some more money. I live in Southern Va right under the Blue Ridge Mountains so I should be able to find a little action for it. If I can get it away from my wife who likes it and wants to switch out her Subaru Outback with me. Ahhhhhh. I think I will pass on that offer. I am just not a Subaru type of guy.

Nice and welcome! And no, don't let your wife talk you into that switch LOL. I've had several Subarus and they can be fine and all that, but none of them are a real truck!

Please let us know your impression of the headlights. There's a lot of interest here about how good the new OEM LEDs are. A lot of us are hoping that they're 1) great and 2) will be sold by Toyota as plug and play replacements for the headlights on older models.

I could see very well but didn’t know the headlights were a hot topic. I will do a more informed test and let you know.

A lot of folks here are dissatisfied with the headlights in the 5th gen. It will be interesting to see how the new version compares.

Welcome to the club. You're not official though until you ask about largest tire size without rubbing. You'll have to do a separate post for that though.

It's weird because I get people that will flash their brights at me at night thinking I have my high beams on when I don't and I'm 100% stock on the lamps.

If you have a friend with a 2020 or older 5th gen, see if they'll let you have a test drive at night. That'll let you know.
