just bought my first 4runner (2018 limited) in july, and i’m hooked! i just have a few questions.. forgive me if they’ve been asked before i just haven’t found any responses.

power running boards... has anyone put them on their limited successfully? i want them so bad!

lift/leveling... i would love to have mine atleast leveled. is this possible?

maintenance/oil changes? how often for oil changes, how do you turn off the dang maintenance light? do you find it easier to take it somewhere for an oil change or DIY?

annnnd lastly, i have the platinum warranty and so far, i’ve had 2 dash speakers blow out in 2 months (not playing music/bass too loud), i bought this 4runner from the largest toyota dealer in louisiana and they state they’ve never seen this issue in any of the 4runners. luckily, warranty replaces them no cost.

any advice or help is truly appreciated. the 4runner has been my dream car since i got a drivers license :)

Welcome to the forum, most people i know that have power running boards have trouble with them operating correctly for very long. I’m pretty sure you can lift, or level your limited, and diy oil changes are best if possible.

    Welcome from RVA!

About the maintenance light on your dashboard, idk if it is the same procedure with the 5th gen but you can try this procedure for the 4th gen here:

    https://www.4runners.com/threads/maintenance-light-flashing.6862/

There is plenty of info here on this subject. Hopefully you’ll get rid of that light after this method.
