Greetings. I've spent a lot of research time on this site past few weeks / months as I contemplated the purchase that would replace an M3 (a blast to drive and fun to work on) and an old Durango (reliable work horse.) I fell in love w/ the cement TRDP but not the price and wife really pushed for the 3rd row seat, so purchased a white 2016 SR5 4WD last week and now working on my first few mods to "sport it up" a bit. Got some all weather mats and installed NFAB nerf bars last night. Planning to get some TRD rims and maybe even blow several hundred dollars on some extremely over priced plastic to achieve the TE/TRD grille look (Yeah I'm a sucker for a good looking ride!) Enjoyed this forum immensely over past few weeks and looking forward to contributing once I cut my teeth.

Niiiioce truck brother!!! Love seeing white 4R's in the pre-mod state, my imagination runs wild with all the possibilities!!

    Welcome to the family!

Are you looking to color your valance and grill area black or simply gain the TRD look by converting from the Toyota logo to 'Toyota' text on the front? The front grill and valance are colored black on my truck but I am getting bed-liner sprayed on her next weekend for a more durable finish...only gunna cost me $150 to get it done (majority of cost is in prep and masking). Once I have it done I plan to post some before and after pics.

Thank you sir! Still undecided on the valance / grill. I'm a sucker for that TRD look but forking out hundreds of dollars for about about $11 worth of plastic is irritating the crap out of me. We'll see. Might go the route you did and paint it first and focus time and $$ on other matters. Speaking of - I really like the stance of your ride. What combination of tires / lift / leveling did you use to pull that off?

6" Fabtec Suspension Lift 35x12.5 Fuel Gripper M/T Tires 18" Fuel - Vapor Wheels
I put a 6" Fabtech lift on her with 35x12.5 Fuel Gripper MT Tires mounted on 18" Fuel Vapor Wheels.

She had a simple leveling kit on the front end when I purchased her. It was a nice look but the wheels that were on her before had an obnoxious offset AND 2.5" spacers behind em...CRAZY unsafe....but it looked pretty bad a$$. I didn't realize how bad it was until I started seeing chunks...yes chunks, of rubber along the side of the truck that were shredding off the super aggressive MT tires that were on it. The original stance was even more aggressive then because it was lower and the tires stood out of the body line much much further. Based on the set up that was there when I bought her, I would have busted all kinds of stuff if I have taken her our into the mud and tried to have fun....so we redid it all with the Fabtech lift, replaced the front struts and other suspension parts that were not part of the kit or that were destroyed from the hack job that was done by either, the dealer I purchased it from, or the previous owner.

Now she rides soooo nice, no rubbing, a nice subtle hum from the tires (nothing to loud)...it is like riding above all the lil cars on a cloud. *hehehe* I have already taken her from IL to OK City twice (1,600 miles each time round trip) with this configuration and she has held up flawlessly...outside of the crappy gas mileage. LOL
