    Red isn't my first(or 2nd,3rd,etc.) choice either but I really like it. Everybody and their uncle has silver or gray. And, like u say, if u really can't stand it, a wrap or plasti dip is an option. A great side benefit is it'll protect the finish if u ever decide to sell.
    P.S. the dealer should've removed that square white sticker from your drivers window upon delivery
