Recently purchased 6112/5150 suspension needs to be installed and aligned. I'm in SD and I'm willing to drive as far north as LA / Orange County. I'm familiar with the quality work that 88 Rotors and Cali Raised Offroad do... are there any other shops that are highly recommended between SD and LA?

Give TE Motorsports a call and ask for Troy. He’s done work on a few of my builds. They are in Escondido.

Why do people not install their own suspension? It is so simple to do.

Do people just prefer to pay shop labor for something that can be done in a driveway in 3 hours?

Since you asked.. I can work an OT shift at the FD or ER and make double the money that I'd be saving by doing it myself. That, and the fact that I dont have a driveway

That’s great, and I respect that. I pull tons of extra duty contract flying because I make $2k/day doing it, but it comes down to trusting who is wrenching on my $40k investment. I don’t trust any shop to do the job right because I’ve been burned too many times in the past. I have the peace of mind that it was done to my spec and knowledge of the components on my vehicle.

Hell, when I lived in an apartment 20 years ago, I did my suspension install in a car wash parking lot one night. Lol.

Went over to the Truck Shop in Miramar...

First class shop! Toyota/Lexus specific - a dozen lifted Tacos, 4Rs, and Land Cruisers in the parking lot. Mad impressed. Also, they fab their own UCAs - they call them Built Tough. Beefier than just about every commercially produced UCA I've seen. I'd liken them to Total Chaos or Camburg in their quality. They earned my business.

I’ve also been there too. Totally forgot to recommend them. They also know Toyota’s which is what sold me!

I know the guy's at Cali raised as they installed my grill light bar and ditch lights. They do great work but if I'm not mistaken I think they just bought a shop in Texas.

Maybe if I had all the tools and help I would do it myself..

But sometimes it's easier just to pay for the work to be done for warranty purposes..

    SlvrSlug,

I had no idea you had this going on. A bit of a sleeper with the low lift height, eh??

And look at you all modest with the tag phrase "slightly modded."

    I love it! Well done!
