2007 silver 4runner

I have a 2007 4runner with navigation with voice recognition. The message "briefly press the talk switch to start voice recognition" and/or "voice recognition has been canceled" message keeps coming on sometimes repeating several times. The dealer tried to deactivate the voice recognition with no success. They have no suggestions on what to do. Has any one had a similar problem and found a solution?
