MPG Penalty with Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S?

Swapped out the AT3's with the Michelin LTX M/S. I can see what the hype is about now, these are NICE tires! Talk about a night and day difference. Where the AT3's were skittish on the road the Michelin's track like the truck is on rails. I think part of the problem was poor balancing of the AT3's, so this isn't the fairest comparison, but I'm far happier now.

I left Discount Tire with a warning that one pressure sensor was acting up but would correct itself in 15-20 minutes. Well 45 minutes down the road the sensor hadn't corrected itself and I find myself in a gas station parking lot changing a flat tire. The same damn tire with the TPMS malfunction. I don't see a single puncture in the tire, either. Back to Discount Tire for a third time tomorrow.

On a side note- The spare steely looks pretty awesome and has a much nicer offset than the regular rims.

 

You know, I’m kinda liking those steely’s.
