Ordered mine last week as I saw they were up on the website, learned afterwards they only made 50 sets and next batch won't be for sale till October.
    https://www.xenondepot.com/morimoto-xb-led-toyota-4runner-headlights-p/lf531.htm
Read other opinions on another forum, some love them, others say rice and hate them.
My runner currently has Morimoto XB fogs and 5K xenon hid kit and lighting is more than adequate and my main reason for these headlights is they are dot approved. I aimed my HID per spec(25' flat ground/ blue tape markers on wall) and although no ones flashed me I'm thinking that Chicagoans are just immune to ass hats with bright lights, the oem projectors are not made for anything but halogens. I drove another car just to see my hid's and they are a nuisance to oncoming drivers!
I should be getting the XB headlights this weekend. I will get before and after pics with the fogs etc. Anyone else order them?
Below is not mine, just some lucky guy who got the 1st set and some Morimoto pics

Personally I love them, but I'm always looking for the next lighting option. It's nice to see a company come out with a mass produced after market option for the 4Runner.

    Looking forward to a review.

They look great but far from worth the $1,200 price tag IMO

I dig em. Bought a pair. They're pricey but it saves me the trouble of messing up my oem in a DIY attempt. I tend to destroy plastic. I know a couple guys with the Tacoma version and they're happy with them. Hopefully they'll live up to the hype.

Crashnburn's testing on Tacoma world showed a nice gain in low beam performance and a slight loss in high beam performance with the Morimotos. (If I remember correctly).

    The price is killing me.
$1,200 headlights! That is a lot of mods...
    I need testimony!
Otherwise I love. Need better pics.
    They seem prototypes still...

True story. 2016 had a F150. LED lights were what everyone wanted. only market was Ford oem at $2200 plus 200 buck harness and a 100 for a ballast, they were selling like flipping hotcakes. 2017 one could bag a set for 1800, 2019 there's 2 or 3 aftermarkets around and now they run 1300.. what am I sayin? for the having only one decent choice for a 4runner headlight for @ $1100 is a bargain in todays market, kind of surprised it took them this long to make one for the runner

True but Phillips H9 bulbs in the stock low beam projector was nearly equal to Morimoto XB low beams.

1100 is a fair price IMO. It might even be their testing price then maybe charge more for full production.
Kustom54 makes headlights along with the retrofit source. It took a few months of convincing to spend that money but IM glad I did6376C12A-3C82-4982-BE90-B9717BDAC4E7.jpg

I love my H9 upgrade as well. Such a cheap mod with great results.

I really like the look of this new headlight. However, it is not worth $1,200 to me. I might pick them up for something like $300, but I wouldn't be willing to spend much more.

So I guess what I'm saying is it looks like I'll be sticking with the stock projectors with H9's for a while

Are you guys absolutely certain we're not gonna fry our wiring harness or melt lenses with the H9's ?

    Melt a lens...
The snow plows available with LEDs have heaters to keep the lens clear.
They run cooler than incandescent bulb. (Pretty sure).
    My mistake. I misread. Disregard.
    Sorry.

So they showed up today and I wont have a place to aim properly until the weekend but they are close to where my hid's were.
I do believe the hid is a tad brighter but if you recall the hids have a glare to oncoming drivers and that's what I wanted to get away from! The Morimotos also spread the light out to the sides more that seems to help. All and all the Morimoto headlights are very good!
I have the morimoto fogs and with 5k hids they always felt off like something was missing. That something was these headlights, the two with each other are awesome! Lights up like super nice. I got out and walked up the street Abit and did not notice any glare even with fogs on...no one flashed me so that was good.
Last night I took a pic with hid to compare to the XBs tonight. (No fogs in pics)

Ultimate question, would you buy them again?
Can you get a short video of the blinker?
    You rock!

The diagram shows three squares for the lights.
Should I assume that the 3rd is the high beam?
$1,200 is still steep for headlights.
    More info is needed!
    Thanks.

Would I buy again? only if they don't fit in the next gen 4runner, if they fit I would transfer them. Its the 1st night after a long (work) day but yeah, I like them!
Video on the blinker, watch the 2nd video in the 1st post of this thread.

Yes the 3rd light is the high beam. Cost is competitive in todays market from what I've seen over the last few years, half what I paid for the F150 lights in 2016

When you think about running a set of high performance halogens (~150 hour bulb) at $50 a pop with ~10-12 months longevity. 10 years and you're out $500 (if you're lucky).

That makes the $1300 tag on the Morimotos seem like it's not outrageous. I mean, everybody's gotta make some money. That's how the world goes 'round.

Is this with or without fogs turned on? I'm guessing without, due to the dead spot in front of the truck with the Morimotos.

If that's the case, the Philips LED fogs would be a great match with the Morimoto headlight housings, assuming a tolerable color match, and I think the match would be a good one.

Got mine last night as well. Install won't be until Sept so I can't speak on performance yet. But the look/feel of them is quality.

    No.

But there are plenty people with the same mod and none have expressed problems.

It's a 10w difference per bulb. It's basically like putting a high beam bulb in the low beam spot.

I've had them in for over a month now and haven't had any issues.

I'm an electrical retard so not sure how everything works, but if you were overloading them, wouldn't you be blowing fuses?

    No lens melting..........yet :)

So I changed my vote. Had a chance to align them in a garage at work today. Actually had them pretty darn close last night.
In my defense I only drove them about 1/2 hour last night and was tired from a long day.
Tonight just got back from a two hour drive and the verdict is that they are great to drive with. Not so much when turning on a low or non lit street. There is no light to see with and is a couple cases was darn right unsafe to make turns. The fog lights fill that in but I don't want to drive with them on all the time.
I'm hoping xenon Depot takes them back as I just don't want them. I suppose I could aim them down but then that would take away from what's up ahead.
In the picture look at both sides close to the hood where the light curves out. I think morimoto missed the mark and needed an extra led to light up that dead zone.
