These are awesome! Thank you for sharing.

I need to spend more time getting photos of the people on these trips as well as the vehicles.

Dude I bring my leaf blower everytime. Excellent way to knock water off your tent prior to takedown if it rains.

    1. So, mall crawler show next Sunday. Who's in?

If anyone is interested, we could meet at the Kwik Trip in Kenosha at exit 347 around 8am and caravan down from there. I'll even take the tollway if everyone prefers. :D

The longer I have this battery operated blower, the more useful I find it.

Once Rago comes out with a molle panel leafblower mount, then we know it’s made the vital “overlanding equipment” list. Then we’ll both nod in knowing recognition  :toast: :p

Also, once it’s cool, I can finally make the leafblower roof mount I’ve been dreaming of.

I've been to a Mall Crawlers and coffee down there. But, this seems like a bigger event. It's been fun. Usually some cool builds.

So how is your setup shaking out? Do you guy’s think it’s good-to-go for the trip out to the canyon?

I wish I would have stopped by to check out your camper, but the cold and wind had me running for that shelter, and next thing you know I get sucked into good conversation and a warm fire :D.

I saw the big square thing on the side and was going to ask you about it. I could not for the life of me figure out what it was for.

it was a black square grid looking thing, maybe 6x6? It was vertical, but it looked like it could be set up horizontally, but I couldn’t tell if it hinged on the bottom or top.

Definitely a "go" to the North Rim.

We had moisture and wind Thursday (woke up to a dusting of snow Friday a.m.) and the Opus hung right in there. Never had an issue with the Truma propane heater. Saved my marriage picking up extra propane Friday while we were in Prairie du Chien.

That was the cargo rack you saw, in an upright position. A hot/cold shower box and privacy curtain can be mounted (hot/cold h20 & propane hookups on side of trailer) from the rack plus carry gear- I've seen pics of a canoe, bike racks, coolers etc. The rack folds flat and latches to the camper when going down the road.

I've been slacking here. Have some stuff going on lately.

Anyway; there's a casual, no agenda Pipeline area camping/trail dicking shindig this coming weekend. Looking at camping Friday and maybe Saturday at Bearpaw. I'll try to establish camp early Friday and post the exact location here.

Here's the TW thread that has more information and comments:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/role-call-poll-added-wisconsin-events.621460/page-186

Here's the road to Bearpaw camping:

    Dropped pin
    https://maps.app.goo.gl/UmXPNk7tsXBJhrcM6

We have usually camped at a site that's on the left about halfway down, as it seems like the biggest one. But, we shouldn't be hard to find no matter where we are in there.

Friday, some of us are trying to arrive early, and go hit some trails in the afternoon. Saturday, we'll do more trails. No real route picked out for either day. We might skip some of the usual areas and focus on some of the more technical areas. But, there are always easier bypasses to the tricky spots.

If anyone has questions, post them here. Or, feel free to PM me. :)

Also since I have never been that far north :) what is the exact camp location?
