I will unless I can get good money for my Tacoma on a 4runner. We bought a used 4runner in Spring of 2020, drove cross country and back, then sold it Spring of 2021 and made almost 5k. So you can do all right in this market. But if your not aware, you will lose your shirt and pants.

 

I wonder how much mine will go for. I bought a 2021 TOP with KDSS for MSRP. 2000 miles so far. It is tempting to give it back without losing any money

 

I could sell the Pro I bought yesterday and make $15,000-20,000. But I think I'll keep it. If I had a second vehicle I might reconsider.

I spent only $5,000 for my 99 'Runner just this last spring. There was another one in Denver, almost identical, they wanted $12,000 . Glad I snapped this one up when I did. I hope it lasts like my 87's have. Heck, the pickup has 375,000 miles on it, still runs like a top. I love my Little Truck!
Prices now are absurd. Looks like a seller's market.

I've seen a used 2019 with 9k miles asking 59,500 and 2021 4runner pro in super white stock 3k miles for 65k

People on the West Coast are a: crazy, b: made of money, and c: have severe FOMO. With patience, som foot/phone work, and good credit or roughly $50k cash, you can get a free body on frame toyota vehicle in this market simply by trading between dealerships.

Talked to a dealer today and "market adjustment" was $2500. Told him nope and that it was BS.

Safest is to try buying another one at MSRP and then sell that one. This trend seems to last till well into 2022

Not his fault, the way the tax system works and those carbon credits bs are what causing anomalies like companies not paying taxes. I'd like to see a flat income tax of 10% on every income that is greater than 50k. Meaning you tax 10% only what gets over 50K, for both businesses and people. And no exceptions, no brackets, nothing, make the IRS tax code and regulations paperwork 1 page. Maybe couple more pages for businesses. Complicated stuff always benefits somebody, this is why is made complicated so regular people do not understand it or don't bother reading thousands pf pages.

 

It is our fault, as a nation that we allow this kind of insane greed flourish

 

And by the way taxing someone who makes $50,000 at 60% will triple that person. While taxing someone who makes hundred million dollars at 60%, is not going to causing any problems

 

Enough of these ultra rich people abusing the nation. Tax the pants out of them, show them the power of the masses.

 

Talk to your Uber driver next time. Listen to them, and understand what these companies have been doing and they're getting away with it. They are breaking all the rules. They are modern slave owners. AND, TIP THEM CASH. And if you have no fear of getting injured in some accident, then ask your Uber driver to cancel the ride, and give that amount directly to him/her. I don't care about the accidents and injuries, so that's what I do. I GIVE THEM THE WHOLE MONEY. Fuck these greedy fucks

 

I cannot forget that night ever when I paid $115 to Uber from the airport on a Sunday night, and the drive ended the ride and showed me that he received only $53. That was the time when I swore that I was never going to pay the money to Uber, and I will give everything to the driver directly.

It is called surge pricing, the biggest scam of today. How would you feel if you showed up at your local McDonald's drive-thru, and that guy or gal told you that your Big Mac will cost you $65 because the demand is high due to surge? That is exactly what these companies have been doing all these years

 

I don’t think I want all the extra safety technology. The 2018 is a nice balance, besides the lame ultra tiny screen. The LED headlights would be the biggest incentive to upgrade.

 

I haven’t had a physical key since 2014. Now that’s a weird feeling.

 

sorry, I understood your reply. Just replied with a different angle. My Infiniti had an 8” screen. So downswing to 6.1” while going from a 2014–> 2018 just seems odd.

 

It’s all good. The Infiniti had the 360* view. While a bit granular, it was still great for tight parking spaces.

it took me a year to get used to keyless fobs. But now I really like their convenience.

I had a 2001 4Runner from 2005-2014. The 2018 is night and day difference.
