I love the Lunar Rock and was supposed to have one last year when all this crazy happened and messed it all up. Def lunar rock in a choice between those 2… I see a LOT of MGM’s and my last Runner was white lol I prefer to stand out a little.

I used to lust after the Lunar Rock color but was drawn in to the MGM. The key is to make it your own. Make it stand out from the Masses and bond with it as you build it. I know LOVE my MGM Pro and wouldn’t change it for anything!!

The MGM blends well with black accents for those of us who like a "subtle" contrast.

I may be biased, but as others have stated, the MGM is just a "classic" look that withstands time...as one who owned a "Quicksand" Taco when they first hit the streets, those "trendy" colors are cool for a very short period of time, but get old....quick. And as a side note, never never never pay over MSRP for any car. I have bought at least 6 Tacos and now own my first MGM 4R, I easily bought it for $2500 under MSRP, while getting KBB trade-in value "excellent condition" trade on the Taco...took about 5 minutes of negotiations at the dealer (Classic Toyota). Love the 4R...

I concur. While the unique colors look good, I would tire of it after a couple of years. By the way, nice looking rig.

By the way, are those wheels the TRD in a grayish color ?

What is also nice with the MGM is that if one wants to use black accents (wheels, badges, etc.), if offers a subtle contrast between the black and grey.

They're called "GunMetal Gloss" TRD Pro wheels...some come with red TRD center caps and some with black lettering. I opted for the black, since the MGM really has no red in it...Part # is: PTR20-35110-G4

OK. Thanks. Those wheels look great with those tires. The gunmetal color is a nice, subtle contrast with the MGM. Are the tires BFG KO2's ?

Thank you....no they're actually Falken Rubitrek A/T....much cheaper, very nice ride, and 55K rated. Here's a few photos in case you end up going that route so you can see the tire size, brand, etc.

Yeah I drove like 70 miles to get one of the last '23 MGM 4Rs in my area...MGM color isn't an option on the '24 model, and God only knows what they're gonna do to the 4R in '25....so I snagged one before they were a part of 4R history...IMG_0567.jpg IMG_0664.jpg

I was in the same dilemma except white or MGM? I went MGM TRD OffRoad, and glad I did. I do admit that I have cashed in on my unlimited car wash I live 1/4 mile from. The MGM def shows flaws and dust like I have never seen. Lol...

    But....when it's clean....it's clean.DSC_4353_4_5_6_7.jpg

My choice was white as well, wife said no. Out of all remaining colors MGM was best remaining color in my mind.

Yeah not a fan of "trendy" colors. Hurts ya on resale, and they're hard to look at for more than a few years....been there and done that with a "Quicksand" Tacoma...

I think a quicksand Tacoma looks great would much have a quicksand 4Runner than a white one black one red one grey one etc it definitely has a higher resell value too unless it’s a color like lime rush

Statistically the “rare” colors have a higher resell value for Tacomas and 4Runners regardless what you feel about them. I understand people don’t like a certain color but to say the pro colors have a lower resell value is untrue and the opposite of facts

I have a Lunar Rock and love it, but Quicksand would be my first choice - rarely see it! I originally wanted a MGM, but that color is on just about every vehicle out there including my prior vehicle to this 4R. But color is a personal choice, no wrong or right answer - other than Lime Rush. If someone gave me a free one, I would promptly have it painted!

Lunar Rock is my favorite color on anything Toyota uses it on. However, MGM is classy and will always be in style, even though it isn't offered anymore.

Lunar rock looks gimmicky as hell.. will age poorly. It’s a pastel color if you think about it, better than lime green though.

I like Lunar Rock but it might eventually date the vehicle. It also might be tougher to paint match for some shops.

That said MGM is everywhere and shows scratches like crazy. So my vote goes to Lunar Rock.

That was my thinking when I picked MGM. It’s not trendy. Been around forever…just add some TRD Pro wheels and a few simple mods and call it a day.

Truth be told I wanted Lunar Rock.
    Second choice was MGM.

Saw a Classic Silver TRD ORP at the dealer and fell in love.
No regrets. This color disguises scratches and dust very well.

Are those method wheels? The tires look HUGE -- I don't know if its because of the wheels.
