It’s 2wd and for what I use it for I wanted to give it a street look.

Not saying its wrong. But not popular so finding parts to do so going to be hard. You asked for a kit which I don't think is going to happen. I could be wrong.

Probably better to look on a custom/ricer forum for advice on ruining your truck.

He didnt buy a trail or offroad dude, he bought a sr5 because he wanted it lowered some. Would you say an xrunner tacoma is ruined from factory? Different strokes for different folks.

Sorry, but lowering a 4runner is just not a bright move. I wanted to lower my then new Dodge Ram back in the late 80's, and I was fortunate enough to get talked out of it by someone a little older and wiser. Lowering vehicles is almost always a bad idea.

Yea, a static drop makes for a rough ride. But you can turn with far less body roll and better mpgs from less drag on underside

Let’s not drag the thread down please.

Personally, I dig it. It may not be for everyone or a route I’d take but I appreciate the effort someone would go through to go the other direction. I think it would look pretty badass if done right.

Try Eibach springs? Personally I believe a custom air bag setup will be your best bet IMO.

Meh... to each their own I think I personally like the look, and if that's your bag, good for you.
It can be as stupid as dropping a few grand on some off road suspension, you use (actually truly use) twice a year, if that. Let the dude do his shit, like you do yours. Just me....
Face it,.. OEM will get most more than by, and then some.
Hope to see pics of this, during the build and all.

Growing up, I had Mazda's papering my wall from mini trucking. My favorite lowered rig of all time. Fuck, I STILL want one now to cruise in. No joke

Talked to a custom fabrication shop. Ended up going with air bags. Getting ready to cut the floors next weekend

I think it could look good if done subtly. Not sure where you would find a kit though. Would probly require a lot of custom work to pull off since there is not a lot of demand for kits. Keep us posted I’d like to see what you do with it.
