The rear diff breather is easily located. Can anyone tell me where the other 2 are? I’m thinking the tubes terminate in the engine bay. I assume there should be a black tube with a silver vent cap on the end for each component. So there should be 2 tubes unless they connect with a Y type (2 into 1) tube connection. Thanks

I can’t find them? Attached pics. Anyone have a pic? How high up are they relative to fuse box?

Yea, I found them. The top of the silver caps were being partially blocked by the bottom of the fuse box. I was looking for your orange cables and realized you must have some power supply modifications. Thanks so much

No worries -- glad to help out -- that's one of the things I love about this forum -- all the people willing to help me out with my OCD questions -- LOL

BTW, no mods on my Runner other than tires.

There are actually 4 breathers under the hood. The two shown by the fuse box, and two more behind the motor at about the same height of the first two.

Captain Spalding, are the other 2 more easily seen from the passenger side of engine compartment? I’m guessing one is the ADD Actuator and one it transmission?

I could only see the ones behind with a mirror. I think those are transmission and transfer case, and the ones by the fuse box are for the front diff and add. I’ve never actually chased them down to confirm which goes with which.

I found then using mirror from passenger side. They are shown as silver caps in attached picture.

This last pic actually has 3 breathers in it. I believe the white plastic cap looking thing next to the two metal capped breathers you are talking about is actually the transmission breather.

Has anybody checked visually to see if the transmission breather ends on the transmission, or does it terminate in the engine bay?

I just changed my spark plugs today and noticed that the breathers for the front diff & trans are located just below the main fuse box.

But I'll try and make sure that they are the ones after I eat my PB&J sammy.

    edit. I'm wrong.

I have not traced down the trans breather from under the vehicle. I thought it was one of the 2 silver capped lines behind the engine. But your diagram suggests it could be on top of the transmission. You really can’t tell how long the vent line is from that diagram. I have identified 4 total silver capped breathers under the hood.

Thanks for attempting to track it down. Agree that the drawing isn’t necessarily showing the true length, but if it is, then it seems to be pretty low. It’s higher than the stock breather for the rear diff, but still.

I’ll try to remember to look next time I take my skid plates off.

I had to plumb rear line on my Limited. I guess they didn't think soccer mom's would be needing them. I guess they saved $4 to.

Front comes up by fuse box. Transfer case probably on top. I ran my rear up by shock and frame. I will never need to cross anything that deep.
