Our new 4R SR5+ is due to be here the last week of this month- Questions - Does the 2018 4R have LED DRL's (Like I have on my 2016 Taco?) If not does some one make something that can be added? With the majority of new vehicles coming at you with LED's a blazing- It seems like a 2018 4R should have the same. Thanks - Clay

No it does not, the DRL's are the same bulb as the high beams, but run on lower power to be the DRL's. I've tried LED bulbs and they are just too bright as DRL's. So far I haven't found an LED bulb that's dim enough on DRL mode to not blind everyone.

My Camry does something similar when you put the lights in 'Auto' . I was not thinking of replacing lamps, but rather installing a set or string of LED's on the front. Seems like an ideal place would be the area above the fog lights. Really surprised that there is not a kit ready made for this application.

Ah gotcha. Wouldn't be hard to source an LED strip and tap into the corner lights. Those are always on unless you switch the headlight knob to "DRL OFF".

Try toyota’s 2 in 1 led fog lamp and replace all your bulbs with led and only run the fogs as your drl

The led strips in the headlights are played out, what started as something only seen on high end luxury cars turned into kia''s and hyundais running them, then turned into every person looking for a "custom high end look" buying them from auto zone and sticking them everywhere.
The 4runner looks good without them, I think they would take away from the rugged exterior style .
