Just bought an 04 4runner.

I had a few questions before I signed up for this forum but my research has boiled it down to one mystery. There is a large square piece of plastic that folds up on the back side of the center consol in the back seat. Am I missing a piece or am I just missing what it's for? Any help here would be great. Thanks guys.

 

Welcome aboard. I dought I can help you what your question, But if you have a picture of it, that might help.

 

It is spring loaded and locks down when desired. Can't figure it out.

 

My guess is a drink holder?

 

That was my guess too but theres a pretty elaborate set of cup holders in the center of the back seat and the doors. Guess we will see what the community has to say. Thanks for looking man.

 

It is a trash bag holder.....you put a like a plastic walmart bag in it and wrap the handles through the slots on the side and it keeps the bag standing up keeping the trash from rolling around in the back floorboard.
