iPhone won't stay paired!!

I followed the directions carefully and paired my iPhone 5se. All was well , I received and made calls. The next time I got into the truck I saw the red slash through the cell phone icon. I paired it again, same result the next day.

What am I missing, does anyione else suffer this problem...?

I have the 5 SE with no problems, have you done all the upgrades for soft ware?

 

Mine did this when I first got it and the head unit needed to be updated with new software

 

I've been to the 4R update site several times, checked for updates, no joy. The Entune system just did an update several days ago, I think it was to delete the movie tickets app. So, I think I'm up to date. Last time I paired it, it stayed paired for over a day, but now its the red slask again. I'll stay with it and hope something clicks soon.
