Insane price for FJ

The 2022 4Runner TRD Pro is as old school and as bulletproof as that FJ. I would buy a brand spanking new TRD Pro for 53k, and spend the rest of the money on modifying it to look like an FJ. Tire in the back, and a gas tank in the back.

 

Got a pretty penny for the wife’s FJ when we traded it in on the Runner - but nothing like that- would love to do that now in this market

12’ with 28K- definitely a weekend only play toy

 

Currently in Qatar deployed… FJs are all over. All immaculate, zero rust - time to start figuring out how to get them to the U.S.!! Not to mention all of the 70 Series Land Cruisers here. The FJ is definitely a “modern classic” though, and I think we all regret not buying one 5-6 years ago when they cheap haha!

 

Are you allowed to walk around the cities in Qatar when you're deployed?

Yeah we can, Qatar is pretty safe and Doha is as modern of a city as any in the U.S. We did a pretty cool sand dune Land Cruiser ride the other day. Really showed me that I am not using my 4Runner to its full potential! The only part I really like about being here is seeing all the rare Toyota variants that we don’t get to see in the U.S. However, Land Cruisers are the vehicle of choice for nearly everyone here.

 

I know right! The other badass rig is the Land Cruiser 70 with the Turbo Diesel and 4 Sp Manual. Just looks like it can take anything you throw at it! Plus many come standard with a .50 cal mount.

 

Those folks get all the Toyotas except the Tundra

 

Ive been taking pictures of all the different Toyotas Im seeing. I wasn’t able to get pictures of the FJs because they were all out doing the dune crawl as well. There are a couple Qataris rolling around base with brand new LC300s with the Twin Turbo V6. I am trying to corner one of them and get a ride! haha It’s kinda like a Toyota fanatics dream here!

 

We get that LC300 here but with a Lexus badge and $130,000 sticker price

 

Just watched a youtuber named Tim k buy a new 2022 yellow fj in the Phillipines at 45k USD. I'd be all over a new one at that price. Still uses a key

 

If you manage to bring one of those 70 series Diesel LC here, you will be the baddest dude in your county

An Aussie was whinning on Facebook that they were not getting Tundras. I told him get outta here. Why you need the Tundra when you can get LC Diesel Pickups over there.

Man, the world runs on Toyota. What a beast of a company. I would love to give my money to Toyota, they earn it. Every Toyota model is a freaking legend, including the Prius
