My neighbor is selling a 1998 4Runner Limited with 380,000 on it. I know he has taken good care of it, but he's the 2nd or 3rd owner. He's asking $2000.00. Most of the miles are highway miles in New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Wyoming. I'm thinking about buying it for daily driving and trips to the mountains for camping and hunting. I'm worried about the high mileage and possible problems down the road. :) It runs great and looks very good. The seats are worn, but I'm not worried about the seats. All of the electrical switches seem to work.

Is this something I should consider, or should I pass it by and look for a 4Runner with fewer miles?

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the site

personally I would look for one with fewer miles, 380,000 is impressive but it would suck to buy it just to have if fail.

Thanks, Jester. I let my neighbor know that I'd pass on his 4Runner. I'll keep looking for one with fewer miles.
