New to the forum but not new to 4R’s. I’m on my 3rd one now. Started with an 06 SR5 (loved it till someone pulled out in front of my wife and totaled it). Later on bought a 2012 SR5 and loved it as well. Traded that a couple of days ago for a 2021 Magnetic Grey TRD Off road premium as I’ve been wanting to do some proper off-roading and get an update on features. So far I’m loving the new 2021 even more.

    My planned upgrades:

    • Trail style running boards (on order)
    • TRD Pro all weather floor mats (on order)
    • Window tint (planned for this week)
    • Black badge covers (planned for this week)
    • Blacken the front and rear valances (planned for this week)
    • Either get my aluminum machined wheels blackened or get the proper TRD black wheels
Also planned, but have questions about:

    • TRD Pro grills and cover
    • Research which A/T tires to get (was reasonably happy with my previous Yokohama Geolanders for the price)
    • Considering a mild lift but I don’t want to compromise ride quality on the highway and do not want to void warranty...any pointers?

I’ve seen some TRD Pro grill covers for around $130-150 like this one: https://amzn.to/2LQXduB

In this listing it says it will not fit 20/21 models. I assume that is because of the new TSS sensor feature. Looks like I’d need to do a minor mod to the lower part of the cover to shave off some material to accommodate the proper fit for the cover. Any thoughts or feed back on this would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum from Wisconsin!

Many consider the off-road wheels better than the TRD wheels for off-roading as they protect the valve stem and are wider than the TRD wheels. Might as well just black them out.

I actually like the ones I have but more when they are blacked out. Love the concave look.

    Welcome
Sounds like your getting a nice jump on accessories and cosmetics
As for a mid lift... depending what you go with ride will improve. Also a mild lift won't affect warranty even if you have to "make the cut" you'll be ok. (Body mount chop)

Was hoping there would be some direct bolt on parts once I get to that point without cutting anything up. Is that possible?
