Hello all, the snow is starting and I need to use the 4wd finally. 1999 v6 4runner. How do I turn it on? Anything I need to know? I have read that you're not supposed to take sharp turns when 4wd is on. Any info would be great, thanks!

Never use 4WD on turns in dry pavement. "Excercise" the actuator by placing it into 4H and driving straight at least 10 miles a month. (I try to excercise 4l once a month or so for a few seconds too)

I believe you can't engage 4H at speeds past 55mph, but can use it at any speed once engaged prior to 55mph.

I use my 4hi on the street, just limit speeds and turns
